The ’40 KM’ will save the trace as a full 40 km scale and ‘FBR
END’ will automatically expand the horizontal scale to the fiber
end. See the section on PLOT for more information. Selecting
either save option the display will change to;
When the measurement is 100% complete the display will
change to;
The OFL 100 will now return to the main menu. Refer to the
PCPLOT3 user’s guide for information on how to set up
PCPLOT3 software for receiving this trace.
Note: PCPLOT3 must be set up to receive the trace before you
transfer it.
3.7.3 DM and DS Models
Selecting COMPUTER at the SAVE TO prompt will transfer the
trace to a computer using PCPLOT3 software. Please refer to
section 3.0 in the PCPLOT3 user’s guide for more information
on how to setup the PC software to receive the trace. The
screen will change to and will flash the message:

Again, the OFL 100 actively measures the fiber while it is saving
the trace so you cannot disconnect the fiber.
When the measurement is complete, the display will return to
the Main Menu.
