(GB) Installation of the dock leveller
Equipment for Installation
Before installation you must have following equipment:
•
Welding machine ESAB caddy 200 (5200A) or
similar.
•
Welding electrode ESAB OK 48.00 3,25 or similar.
Lifting Equipment
•
Fork lift truck: Minimum carrying capacity 35 kN,
fork length 2000 mm, or
•
Crane: Minimum carrying capacity 30 kN at the
given radius.
Electrical Connections
•
cable: 7x 0,75mm²
•
motor cable: 4 x 1,5mm²
Functional test and completing the installation
Using the control panel put the dock leveller through all the
normal operations (see operating manual). Check all the
procedures.
Note!
Secure the lifting equipment only at the
points marked with this symbol. When
lifting with chains always use all four lifting
eyes. When lifting with a fork truck use a
minimum of two lifting eyes.
Danger!
Before starting any work on the electrical
equipment, the dock leveller must be
isolated and disabled! Only authorised
and trained persons should undertake
electrical work on the dock leveller!
Danger!
Only lifting equipment with a minimum
carrying capacity given before, and in
good working order should be used follow-
ing the correct operating procedure. Ob-
serve the accident prevention procedures
of your company. Never stop or work
under suspended loads!
Note!
Current safety regulations must be ad-
hered to!
Electrical connections must be carried out
by a qualified electrician according to the
wiring diagram.
The front of the control box may only be
opened or closed when the mains isolator
is at „0“.
Danger!
Keep clear of the pit edge to prevent foot
injures!
Attention!
Ensure that all the functions of the dock
leveller can be observed from the operat-
ing position. The location of the control
panel should be waterproof. Should there
be any malfunction, isolate the dock
leveller immediately and contact
Novoferm.
Note!
Take care of the gap of 10 ± 2 mm be-
tween platform and frame. The frame has
to be fixed in a vertical position.
Retouch painting of welded and
damaged surfaces:
Surfaces which shall be treated must be
dry and well cleaned from dirt, grease,
rust or similar. Use machine wire teasel
and thinner.
•
Spray cold galvanizing and let
dry approx. 30 min.
•
Paint with primer in two coats.
Let dry approx. 2 hours after
each painting.
•
Paint with top paint.

Frame AX/ BX ( see page 16 / 17)

Y Hollow spaces are to be grouted.
