CHOCOLATE WAFFLE CONES
•
1-oz. Unsweetened
Chocolate
•
2 Tbsp. Butter
•
2 Whole Eggs
•
¼ Tsp. Salt
•
½ Cup Granulated
Sugar
•
½ Cup Sifted All-
Purpose Flour
•
2 Tbsp. Dutch
Processed Cocoa
Powder
•
1 Tsp. Vanilla
Extract, optional
Preheat the WAFFLE CONE AND ICE CREAM
SANDWICH MAKER as directed.
Place the chocolate and butter in a small
saucepan and melt over low heat. Stir to combine
then set aside to cool for 5 minutes.
Beat the eggs and salt in a small bowl with a fork until
well blended. Beat in the sugar until incorporated and
the eggs have lightened in color slightly, about 1 minute.
Stir in the melted chocolate and butter. Add the flour and
cocoa powder, stirring slowly until all flour is moistened.
Beat another 15 seconds to incorporate the flour and
remove all lumps. Stir in the vanilla extract, if using.
Spoon 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) of batter in the center
of cone molds of Nonstick Cooking Surface. Close the
lid and bake for 1 minute, then check for proper color.
Cook an additional 5 to 10 seconds if necessary.
Open Lid with a pot holder or oven mitt.

PRETZEL CONES
•
1½ Cups Water
•
1¼ Tsp. Active Dry
Yeast (1 pkg.)
•
2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
•
1¼ Tsp. Salt
•
1 Cup Bread Flour
•
3 Cups Flour
•
2 Cups Water
•
2 Tbsp. Baking Soda
•
Sea Salt
•
2-4 Tbsp. Butter,
melted
Preheat the WAFFLE CONE AND ICE CREAM
SANDWICH MAKER as directed.
Sprinkle yeast on lukewarm water in
mixing bowl; stir to dissolve.
Add sugar, salt and stir to dissolve; add flour and knead
dough until smooth and elastic. Let rise at least ½ hour.
While dough is rising, prepare a baking soda water bath
with 2 cups warm water and 2 Tbsp. baking soda. Stir often.
After dough has risen, roll out dough to a
very thin
layer and cut into circles.
Dip dough into baking soda solution and
place onto preheated Cooking Plates.
Close the Lid and cook for 1-3 minutes.
Open Lid with a pot holder or oven mitt.
