1.
When driving, step down on one side of the steering and brake pedal (not completely) to disengage the
steering partially. The bulldozer will turn to the same side. Step down on one side of the steering and
brake pedal to the end to disengage the steering clutch completely and this side will brake completely
causing the bulldozer to make a sharp turn or pivot.
2.
When driving on a slope, the gearshift should be in the lowest speed; do not use the gearshift handle.
3.
When driving down a steep slope, the steering procedure is different than when the bulldozer is running
on level ground. The operator should step down with the right pedal for a right turn and step down on
the left pedal for left turn.
⚠
CAUTION
Do not take a sharp turn on a steep slope!
On a steep slope, if the operator steps on one side of the steering and brake pedal, the driving
sprocket of that side will stop and the track of that side will slip down at a high speed because of
the gravity of the bulldozer. The bulldozer will turn to the other side. This is very dangerous and
the bulldozer can roll over.
Selecting Proper Gearshift
Notice: When shifting gears, the clutch has to be completely disengaged during operation.
1.
The highest productivity and maximum efficiency are reached by using the correct gears. If the engine
emits a high-pitched sound and dark smoke, shift to a lower gear to avoid overloading.
2.
When first shifting gears, push the clutch pedal in completely. After the bulldozer stops, smoothly move
the gearshift to the appropriate position. If it won’t go into gear, engage and disengage the clutch. Then
try to shift into gear again. The gearshift positions are shown in Fig. 2.
3.
Use caution
while driving.
(1). The gauge warnings should always be noted. The engine oil pressure should be within 0.2-0.5MPa. The
coolant temperature should be within 158° F - 194° F (70-90° C). The hand of the ammeter should be
in the middle position
or “+” direction of charging. If any of the gauges do not work, repair or replace
immediately.
(2). Carefully listen to the engine and the transmission. If you hear any abnormalities, stop the engine at
once and address the concern before re-start-up.
(3). Notice the color of the gas emitting from the exhaust pipe. It sho
uldn’t be black and the engine shouldn’t
