Assembly and Initial Set-Up

Step 3.  Initial Pump & Engine Preparation 

Prepare 
Water Pump

 

Verify pump oil level

. 

Note:  The pump is shipped with oil.  

 

1.

 

Verify that oil level is half way up the sight glass (or at the indicator line on 
the dip stick). 

2.

 

If oil level is low, fill using the type of pump oil specified below: 

(See "Specifications" section of this manual to determine the type of pump 
that came equipped with this pressure washer.)

For Comet or NorthStar pumps:  Use Universal Tractor 
Transmission Oil or Non-detergent 30 weight oil. 

3.

 

Replace fill cap.

Fill the engine with oil

. 

Note:  The engine is shipped without oil. 

 

Refer to the Engine Manual to locate oil-fill port and for instructions on filling.
