Key-based Expansion Module Accessory (KBA)

The Key-based Expansion Module provides 22 additional keys for the 
M3904 and the M3905 telephones. You can add a second Key-based 
Expansion Module, for a total of 44 additional line/feature keys (see 
Figure 17). To install the KBA (NTMN37BA), you need to order the 
Key-based Expansion Module Kit 1 (NTMN38AB), which includes the 
single KBA footstand assembly. If you add a second KBA, you also 
need to order the Key-based Expansion Module Kit 2 (NTMN38BA), 
which includes the expansion KBA footstand assembly.

Install the Key-based Expansion Module Accessory

While depressing the telephone tilt handle, pull the telephone away from the 
footstand until it clears the final stop. Gently pull the footstand off the clips.

Note:

If an ACM is installed, unplug the ACM and remove it from the 

footstand. Install the ACM in the Single KBA Footstand Assembly. See the 
document “Accessory Connection Module Installation Guide” for detailed 
instructions.

Place the telephone and the Module face down on a non-abrasive surface, 
and align them.

Plug the cable from the Module into the 10-pin connection port on the 
telephone.

Thread the cable through the opening in the side of the telephone.

This procedure is now complete
