Procedure 13 provides some troubleshooting examples for the MEARI.

Procedure 13
Troubleshooting for the MEARI

Make sure that the ACM power supply is connected to the telephone and
plugged into a working AC outlet.

Make sure that the MEARI is completely inserted and the release latch is
engaged.

If using the RJ12 jack, make sure that the modular cord contains six wires. If

This procedure is now complete

using the 2.5mm or 3.5mm jacks, make sure that the plugs are fully inserted.
