Loadware Upgrade from an FTP Server
STEP1:The two loadware files for both VPS card(NTVQ09AB) and Media
Card (NTVQ09BA) must be copied onto an FTP server.
STEP2: Disable all cards in the group from overlay 32 on the switch
software.
STEP3: Upgrade is then performed using the mcMixedUpgrade command
from the server card shell as shown below:
->mcMixedUpgrade
Group Loadware Upgrade Utility
NFS server IP address : <NFS Server IP Address>
User name : <userID>
Password : <password>
VPS Image file name : vpsLoad.mms
Upgrade Options from a PC Card in a Mixed
Card Group.
mcMixedUpgradePCMCIA syntax:
mcMixedUpgradePCMCIA(
“VPS loadware filename”,
“MC loadware filename” )
If, in a mixed card group, only one card type requires a
loadware upgrade, in the case of the card type which does
not require an upgrade, pass through zero as the filename.
i.e. Only Media Cards (NTVQ09BA) require a loadware
upgrade:
mcMixedUpgradePCMCIA( 0 , “MediaCardFile”)
i.e. Only VPS Cards (NTVQ09AB) require a loadware
upgrade:
mcMixedUpgradePCMCIA( “VPSCardFile.mms”, 0 )
