START A CHAT SESSION
1 Press Menu 01-3 ( Messages > Chat ), then press Select .
2 Enter the other party’s phone number (or press Search and recall it
from the phone book), then press OK .
3 Enter your chat name for this session, then press OK .
4 Write a chat message, then press Options .
5 Press Send to send your message.
REPLY TO A CHAT MESSAGE
The reply from the other party is shown above
your original message.
1 Press OK to clear the screen and reply to the
message.
2 Press Options , then press Send to send your
reply.
Tip: You can start a chat session when replying to a regular text
message as well. When reading the message, select Options , then
select Chat .
Use predictive text for quick replies
When you are in a chat session, you can use predictive text entry to help
speed up your responses. For more information on how to use predictive
text input, see “Write with predictive text” on page 40.
View chat history
You can view messages sent and received during the active chat session.
1 From the chat message screen press Options .
2 Scroll to Chat history and press Select .
