The communication between the MultiCONT and the devices is via different commands. The MultiCONT sends a command containing the address of the device, 
which responds in accordance with the standards. Some of the commands are universal, while others are device-specific. The appropriate commands are selected 
automatically based on the data required to control the display, relays, and current outputs. This can be checked or modified in this menu point. If a command 
became unselected which is needed for appropriate operation, „Program failure” message will be generated in the relays and current outputs. The display flashes, 
showing that the result will not be refreshed, because the needed HART command for this operation is unactivated. So the modification of this option is not 
recommended or it needs great care! If multiple commands are selected, then the refresh time increases (display, relay, and output current modification). 
 
MultiCONT uses the following commands to communicate with the devices. 

 

COM1: query of primary quantities/values  

 

COM2: the output current in mA and in % (output range) 

 

COM3: the primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary values
