HOPPER, FILTER AND SUCTION HOSE CLEANING, AND GASKET CHECK
WARNING!
Protect body parts (eyes, hair, hands, etc.) properly, when performing cleaning procedures using compressed
air or water gun.
Preliminary operations
Empty the hopper (12, Fig. G), drive the machine to a cleaning/washing appointed area, then engage the parking brake (7, Fig.
E).
Lift and dump the hopper (12, Fig. G), according to the procedure shown in the relevant paragraphs.
Install the lid support rod (8, Fig. F).
Hopper cleaning (after every use)
Clean the hopper (2, Fig. O) with pressurized water (1).
Carefully check the suction sealing gasket (3) for integrity, and replace it if necessary.
Suction pipe cleaning (after every use)
Thoroughly clean the suction pipe (27, Fig. F) inside, up to the suction inlet, with pressurized water.
Carefully check the suction pipe gasket (31, Fig. F) for integrity, and replace it if necessary.
Suction fi lter cleaning (after every use)
Inside the hopper, remove the suction fi lter fastener (1, Fig. P).
Remove the suction fi lter (2).
Clean the defl ector (3, Fig. P) and the fan (4) with pressurized water. Check that all fan sectors (5) are clean.
Clean the suction fi lter (2, Fig. Q) with pressurized water (1).
Install the suction fi lter (2, Fig. P) and secure it with the retainer (1).
Remove the lid support rod (8, Fig. F) and lower the hopper (12, Fig. G) according to the instructions shown in the relevant
paragraph.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
Breather fi lter cleaning (after every use)
With a ladder and the help of an assistant, disengage the fasteners (29, Fig. G) of the breather fi lter hood (28).
Open the hood (1, Fig. R) and install the safety pins (2).
Remove the mounting screws (1, Fig. S), then remove the breather fi lter (2).
Clean the breather fi lter (2, Fig. T) with pressurized water (1).
Install the breather fi lter and its hood performing steps from 15 to 17 in reverse order.

Preliminary operations
Engage the parking brake (7, Fig. E).
Turn the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
Cleaning of nozzle and fi lter in the rear suction pipe
Remove the screw (1, Fig. U) together with the nozzle (2) and the fi lter (3).
Remove the nozzle (2, Fig. U) and the screw (1), then remove the fi lter (3).
Clean the nozzle (1, Fig. V) and fi lter (3) with compressed air. Remove calcium deposits. If necessary, replace the fi lter (3).
Install the fi lter, the nozzle and the screw in the reverse order of removal.
Cleaning of nozzles and fi lters on brooms
Unscrew the ring nuts (1, Fig. V).
Clean the nozzles (2, Fig. V) and fi lters (3) with compressed air. Remove calcium deposits. If necessary, replace the fi lters (3).
Install the fi lters and nozzles, and secure them with the ring nuts. Nozzle holes must be directed down when tightening.
