If you are not going to use the camera for a long period of time, remove the battery before putting the camera away.

Store with the lens rotated to a position adjacent to the Control panel. Do not store your camera in locations that:

are poorly ventilated or damp

are hotter than 50°C (122°F) or colder than -10°C (14°F)

have a humidity of over 60%
