For the safety of users and the correct operation of the
burner, the unit should be subjected to annual mainte
-
nance.
Carry out maintenance should in accordance with the
following steps:
1. Switch the boiler OFF and allow it to cool down.
2. Disconnect the unit from the power supply,
3. Remove the burner from the boiler door.
PBMAX burners feature automatic grate cleaning, but
they also require regular manual cleaning. We recom
-
mend doing it every 7 days, but this process cannot
be carried out less frequently than once a month. The
interval of cleaning depends upon many factors, such
as fuel quality, boiler settings, etc.
Clean the burners manually in the following way:
1.
Start the flame extinguishing process and wait for
it to finish until the TURNED OFF is displayed on
the controller.
2. Turn the power OFF and wait for the burner to
cool down to avoid burns
3. Clean the corrugated hose
4. Clean the feed tube
5. Scrape the igniter plate and grate and clean the
holes in the grate
6. Remove the Ash from the burner and the boiler.

Remove the burner housing and clean the flame
sensor with a cloth and a soft abrasive agent
(e.g.: toothpaste).
5.
Clean the fan blades (with. e.g. compressed air).
6. Remove the sides of the grate and igniter plate,
loosen the wires of the igniter element
7.
Clean the space behind the igniter plate.
8. Clean the grate.
9. Replace all the parts .
10.
Clean the pellet hopper and the feeder from fine
particles.
11. Check the condition of the corrugated hose and
check its attachment.
12. Start the pellet feeder by inserting the plug into
the mains socket.
13. Check the chimney draught. The recommended
draught should be as follows 18-20 Pa (Pellux
100/20) or 20-40 Pa (Pellux 100/30) and the tem-
perature in the range between 80-180 °C. For a
longer time, the temperature should be between
130-140 °C. If it drops below this value, there is
a risk of dust and soot occurrence in the chimney
or the boiler.
14. Open the inspection hatch at the bottom of the
pellet hopper and check the length of the feed
-
er spiral (screw). It must be shorter by 1.5-2.5cm
from the plastic transport tube.
CAUTION
Remember the basic safety rules when carrying out
maintenance. We recommend using protective gloves,
respiratory protection and strict adherence to all in
-
structions for safe boiler use contained in this manual.

Cleaning & Maintenance
CAUTION
Performing annual service inspections by authorized
service technicians is a warranty condition. Omitting
the annual service check will cause the loss of war
-
ranty.
Servicing
Pellux 100 boilers should be serviced annually from
the date of first start-up. Thanks to regular service in-
spections, the boiler will have a constant professional
service which will reduce the risk of boiler failures and
failures.
