Assemble the injector on the saddle tee
(sealing to be carried out)
Cut the required length of the flexible pipe
(Ø 4 x 6 mm) to connect the injector to the
right connector of the pump.
5.4 Suction strainer, tank of reagent
Never use hydrochloric acid (or HCl) as a
reagent, even if diluted.
The suction strainer must be located no
more than 1.50 m below the control box.
Place the tank of reagent in its final position
close to the box. Avoid placing it under any
electrical device, due to the potentially
oxidising fumes released.
Before any operation on the tank of
product, read the associated safety data
sheets.
Cut the required length of flexible tube to
connect it to the left connector of the
peristaltic pump of the box.
Drill an 8 mm hole in the cap of the tank of
reagent.
Pass the transparent flexible tube into this
hole, assemble the strainer on one of the
flexible ends by unscrewing the nut then
passing through the tube, and pushing it on
the tapered connection and then
rescrewing the nut. Plunge the strainer into
the tank and rescrew the cap half way so
that air can pass through.
6 Use
Every time the device is used, carry out a
manual analysis of the pool water's pH.
Look at the pH value displayed by the
device, if it is very different from what you
analysed manually, then calibrate the
electrode. Correct the pH manually, if it is
above 7.6
Operate the filtration system during the day
rather than at night because the
proliferation of micro-organisms occurs
during the day.
6.1 Routine maintenance and start-
up
Whenever started up and at least once or
twice a year, carry out the following checks:
1.
Check that the electrode bracket joint is in
good condition as well as that of the
passage chamber if installed.
2.
Check that the drive hose inside the
injection pump is in good condition.
3.
Check that the pH value displayed
corresponds to that given by a manual
measurement. If this is not the case,
calibrate the electrode.
6.2 Reagents – pH corrector to be
used
The pH of a swimming pool varies
naturally and continuously, but always
keeps the same trend over time.
I.e. it goes up and the water becomes
alkaline or it goes down and the water
becomes acid. It can never be both at the
same time.
Only an external and one-off event can
reverse this trend. In this case, the pH will
rapidly return to its natural upward or
downward changes.
For water that tends to be alkaline
(high pH = above 7.6), 90% of the situations
in France, use a liquid minus pH corrector
and program the device as liquid - pH.
