8. Test instruc
ti
ons in the
event of a malfunc
ti
on
The following list has been drawn up in order to help
diagnose and correct malfunc
ti
ons that may occur during
installa
ti
on. This guide is exclusively for the professional
authorised to install the cover in order to maintain the
validity of the guarantee. If, a
ft
er having followed these
instructions, the cause of the malfunction has not been
found, the professional must contact the cover retailer or
manufacturer.
Read completely before carrying out the opera
ti
ons. Refer
to
fi
gures 25 and 27.
Turn the switch on the box to Off or "0" before each
connec
ti
on, disconnec
ti
on opera
ti
on.
Check the condi
ti
on and the correct
ti
ghtening of the electric
connec
ti
ons.
8.1 Checking the box
8.1.1 Check that the fuse and the thermal circuit breaker are
in good condi
ti
on.
8.1.2 Check the power relay opera
ti
on.
8.1.3 Disconnect the 2 wires connec
ti
ng the box to the roller
motor from the "+" and "-" terminals.
8.1.4 Turn the switch on the box to On or "1"
8.1.5 Check that the command and power diodes are on when
the box is powered on.
8.1.6 Step by step, measure the presence of the indicated
voltage on the following terminals:
8.1.7 Electric box power supply test: 230 V AC (Alterna
ti
ng) on
the "L" and "N" terminals of the electric box to which the
230 V is connected.
8.1.8 Transformer test: 20-24 V AC between the red and blue
jacks, and 10-12 V AC between the White and Blue jacks
exi
ti
ng the transformer.
8.1.9 Motor terminal tests: 24 V DC between the "+" and "-"
terminals of the motor when ac
ti
va
ti
ng an open or a
close.
8.1.10 Terminal tests: If there is a malfunc
ti
on check that the
cable terminals are correctly connected to the card.
8.1.11 If a voltage is not present or a value is di
ff
erent, check
again making sure that the mul
ti
meter
ti
ps are in contact
with the terminals and that your mul
ti
meter is calibrated
and on the correct measurement posi
ti
on. A voltage that
is absent or di
ff
erent from the indicated voltage indicates
that the tested component is defec
ti
ve. Replace it or
request its return to AS POOL for analysis.
8.1.12 If the box is correctly supplied, the fuses in good
condi
ti
on, and if the cover does not move, the box is no
longer opera
ti
onal (this can be due to a power surge from
an incorrect connec
ti
on, a thunder storm or a defec
ti
ve
component. The box must be returned to AS POOL for
analysis). If the cover moves more than 1 metre: the box
is working correctly.
