To clean the grill burner:
1. Clean the exterior of the burner with a wire brush. Use a metal scraper for stubborn stains or debris.
2. Clear clogged ports with a straightened paper clip. Never use a wooden toothpick as it may break off and clog the port.
3. Check and clean burner / venturi tube for insects and insect nests. A clogged tube can lead to a flashback, causing a fire
hazard at the valve and knob.
STEP 2
To remove the burner for cleaning:
1. Locate the electrode wire on the right side handle and
disconnect it from the ignition electrode.
2. Disconnect the valve from the burner tube.
3. Locate the burner screws at the left and right of the firebox.
4. Remove the screws and the flame tamer attached.
5. Lift the burner out of the firebox.
STEP 1
BURNER
– Extreme care should be taken when removing and replacing the burner. It must be correctly installed to the valve
before any attempt is made to relight the grill. Frequency of cleaning will depend on how often you use the grill.
Failure to properly install the valve to the burner could cause a fire at the valve area, thereby damaging the grill and making it
unsafe to operate. Before cleaning, make sure the gas supply is CLOSED and control knobs are in the "OFF" (
) position and
the burners have cooled. Disconnect the hose and regulator from the gas cylinder.
