2. The next step is the motor and sensory stimulation. Each electrode has its own graphical area.
Electrode 1 on the left, with electrode 2 on the right. Use the
and
buttons to swap
between electrode 1 and electrode 2. The logging functionality is the same as that of a single
electrode mode.
Sensory, Motor and Lesion modes function in exactly the same way as in Two Electrode
Operation.
2.
As the lesion is created between the two electrodes it is necessary to remove the reference plate
from the patient before a lesion procedure is started.
This warning screen will appear
If the user has set the “
Auto Dispersive disconnect
” to
ON
in the “
Machine control “
Screen
the
warning will not appear and the Dispersive lead will be automatically disconnected when RF Lesion
is selected on the control panel
(This will only occur for dual electrode and Simplicity II and III)
3. In the Lesion screen the controlling electrode is shown on the graph by having the label
‘Control’
under the electrode name. Once the
button is pressed the NT1100 will automatically set
the control electrode and the lesion will continue until the set time is reached. Once the
procedure has finished the tone will sound. (During the lesion the machine will monitor the
temperature at each electrode, and control the temperature on the electrode that indicates the
highest temperature.) As power is passed between one probe and the other, there is only one
central reading for impedance/ volts/current and watts.
