Power LED
•
Solid green
. The electrical power is on.
•
Blinking green
. The device is in the process of restarting or establishing security.
•
Off
. There is no electrical power.
Powerline LED
•
Solid
. The device is connected to a Powerline network.
•
Off
. The device has not found any other compatible Powerline devices using the same
encryption key.
The Pick A Plug feature lets you pick the electrical outlet with the strongest link rate,
indicated by the color of the Powerline LED:
Green
. Link rate > 80 Mbps
(Good)
Amber
. Link rate > 50 and
< 80 Mbps (Fair)
Red
. Link rate < 50 Mbps
(Poor)
Ethernet LED
•
Solid green
. The device has an active Ethernet connection.
•
Off
. There is no Ethernet connection.
Buttons and Switches
•
Factory Reset
. Press the
Factory Reset
button on the side of the Music Extender for
1 second, and then release it to return the Music Extender to its factory default
settings.

Security
. If you set security on your other Powerline devices, after you plug your new
Music Extender into the wall socket, press its
Security
button for 2 seconds. Then,
press the
Security
button on any Powerline device in your existing network for 2
seconds. Both buttons must be pressed within 2 minutes.
•
On/Off
. Use the On/Off switch to turn the device on and off. When this switch is in the
Off position, the filtered AC socket still has power.
