range has the smallest coverage, however battery life is longer.

range provides moderate coverage and battery life.

range enables you to have connected Wi-Fi devices farther from your
mobile hotspot and still connect to your Wi-Fi network, but battery life is shorter.

USB Tether
. If you are tethering your hotspot to your device and do not want to use
Wi-Fi for other devices, select the
Wi-Fi stays Off
button.
The
Submit
button displays after you make a selection.

Settings > General > Device
.

From the
Wi-Fi Standby
drop-down list, select a shorter time period.
The shorter the time, the longer the battery life.

Adjust Display Settings to Increase Battery Life
Dim the screen to reduce the LCD’s brightness level. Set the screen time-out to a shorter
period
to reduce the amount of time to wait without the LCD being touched before turning the
screen blank.
