MAN-REF-COSW 2.10-19
Change current running parameter values via ntxoper. settable parms and valid values are do-
cumented in the NG manual.
These values are set immediately, however a restart or a reboot will reset these values to those
in the Netex Default file.
Configure Netex Default
Change default values for Netex startup (ntx_default).
These values do not take effect until a restart or a reboot, however they are perisstent (every re-
boot/restart will reapply these values).
Also, the entire file or changed parms can be displayed, or the entire file may be reset to original
settings to restart the configuration from the beginning.
Modify NetEx Startup Parms
Certain NetEx parameters must agree with NCT-configured values for proper initialization. These can
be changed by using the buttons in the “
Configure Netex Default
” section. Select the parameter to
change in the first dropdown menu, enter the desired value in the window next to it, select “
configure
default valu
e” in the second dropdown and click <
defaultcmd
>. All the initial values can be restored
by selecting “
reset all defaults
” and clicking on the <
defaultcmd
> button.
Local Host

Local GNA (device 1)
- must agree with the netaddr/smgdref of the local ADAPTER in the NCT.

– may be adjusted from the default value (32768) for better performance in your configu-
ration.
Multihost
– must be on if multiple channel-attached hosts will be offering the same Netex service(s),
e.g.BFXJS, but only the host corresponding to the name in the connect request may satisfy the connect.
NetEx Eat/Gen Test
To verify connectivity or measure Netex-to-Netex performance a pair of utility programs can be initi-
ated from NESiGate CO or LO. Required parameters are:
Remote Host
– Netex name of the remote Netex host.
DataMode
– NRBDMODE for the data to be sent
Bytes/block

Blocks/loop
