AED Shock Advisory Test
This tests the automatic and semiautomatic external
defibrillators ability to analyze and prompt the energy
discharge. A series of arrhythmias as well as normal sinus
(ECG) waveforms are available for analysis by the AED that
should prompt the user to shock or no shock.
WARNING
Before getting started, follow the manufactures
safety instructions and test procedures.
Select the function key marked AED. The following screen will
be displayed
1. From the AED menu select Arrhythmia “ARTH” (F1)
2. Select the Arrhythmia (F1) or ECG (F2) menu.
3. For testing the shock advisory select the desired arrhythmia.
4. Insert the Paddle insulation plate fully over the paddle
contacts.
