If the "giveback" is incomplete, wait 2 minutes and re-check. If still not complete after 10 minutes,

Do not proceed to next step if 'incomplete or partial giveback'!
At the clustershell prompt, enter the command below to list the logical interfaces that are not on their home node and port.
If any interfaces are listed as
"false"
in the above command,
engage customer
to revert those interfaces back to their
home port using the '
net int revert'
command.
Move console cable to the
TARGET
node if not already connected and enter the appropriate command to display the ONTAP
version running.
Go to section XIII, "Send Autosupport, Enable Options, Submit logs, Part Return" on the next page.
Verify the version displayed is the same as the ONTAP version captured in section IV.

Move console cable to the
PARTNER
node if not already connected and enter the proper controller giveback command(s) based
on the mode running as follows:
Wait!
90 seconds for
7-Mode
or 3 minutes for
Cluster-Mode
after
giveback reported complete.
Check
controller failover
status by entering the appropriate command shown for the specified ONTAP Mode.
Move console cable to the
TARGET
node if not already connected and observe the console logs. The
TARGET
node takes back
its storage, completes booting up into the login prompt, and then reboots and is again taken over by the
PARTNER
node.
