4.1.2 Set Link Speed for x16 PCIe Slot

The x16 PCIe slot on Nuvo-6000 is implemented via CPU’s PEG port. It supports x16,

Gen3 PCI Express signals. Due to the fact that some off-the-shelf PCI Express add-on

cards support only Gen1/Gen2 signals using ASIC/FPGA, users may encounter

compatibility issue. In this case, you can manually set the link speed to eliminate the

compatibility issue.

To set link speed for x16 PCIe slot:

1. When Nuvo-6000 boots up, press F2 to enter BIOS setup utility.

2. Go to

[Advanced]

→

[System Agent (SA) Configuration]

→

[PEG Port

Configuration]

3. Set the

[Max Link Speed]

to a lower speed (Gen1/Gen2) for the x16 slot.
