3.2 Install and Replace a LGA1151 CPU

Nuvo-6000 series supports 6

-Gen, LGA1151 socket-type CPU. You can select the CPU

according to your consideration of performance, cost and ambient condition. This section

describes how to install or replace the CPU on your Nuvo-6000 controller.

Caution

Please carefully handle the exposed LGA socket on PCBA. The contacts of LGA1151 socket

without protective cover are extremely easy to be damaged by foreign objects. You shall

always put the protective cover back to the LGA socket when CPU is absent.

3.2.1 Install a CPU on Nuvo-6000

1. Follow instructions described in section 3.1.2 to disassemble the heat-sink/SBC

assembly from Nuvo-6000 chassis.

2. Place the heat-sink/SBC assembly on a flat surface. Remove the SBC from the

heat-sink by loosing four M3 P-head.
