Installing and Replacing the Waste Toner Box

This section describes how to install and replace the waste toner box.
When it is almost time to replace the waste toner box, the message "Waste toner box need to be replaced soon."
appears. When it is time to replace the waste toner box, the message "Waste toner box needs to be replaced.
Replace it following the instructions." appears and the machine stops operating. Replace the waste toner box
according to your maintenance agreement.

Before Starting
Operations

●

Do not keep the waste toner box tilted. The waste toner may spill out.

●

When replacing the toner cartridge, be careful not to scatter toner. If toner is scattered,
be careful not to allow it to contact your skin or clothing, not to aspirate it, and not to
ingest it. If toner adheres to your hands, wash your hands with water or mild soap and
rinse well.

●

Do not drop or throw the wasted toner box.

●

Be sure to use the waste toner box specified by our company. Otherwise, print quality
may be affected adversely, or a machine failure may result.

●

Do not forcibly remove or open the waste toner box. Otherwise, a machine failure may
result.

●

Do not throw the waste toner box into the fire.

●

Recycle used waste toner boxes, aiming toward effective activities for global resources.
We appreciate your cooperation for bringing used waste toner to your NEC authorized
dealer or service center after the use.
