Diskette Drive Bay — Your system ships with a stan-
dard 3.5-inch 1.44-MB diskette drive already installed in
the front bay. You can remove the diskette drive and in-
stall an optional second battery pack into this bay.

Hard Disk Drive Bay — The side bay closest to the
back of the system contains the hard disk drive. PC Card
slots are located directly above the hard disk drive bay.
Removing Devices from Drive Bays
Use the following steps to remove the diskette drive (or
other device) from the drive bay.
1.
Make sure the NEC Versa is powered off, all external
options are disconnected, and the LCD panel is closed.
2.
Turn the system upside down.
3. Locate the bay release latches on the bottom of the
unit. Each latch releases the component installed in its
associated bay.

Slide the bay release latch and hold it.
