2   Regulatory Statements

CMOS Battery Replacement

A lithium CMOS battery in your system maintains system configuration
information. If the CMOS battery fails to maintain system configuration
information, the battery must be replaced by an NEC CSD authorized
service center or dealer. The battery is not user replaceable.

There is a danger of explosion if the battery is

incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type
recommended by the manufacturer. Discard used batteries according to
the manufacturer’s instructions.
