Chapter 2 Preparations
Mount the server to a rack in the following procedure.
Checking accessories
The following are the required accessories. Check if you have them all.
– Bracket: 2
– Plain washer: 4
– Flat head screw: 8
– Pan head screw: 8
Cage nuts (two pieces) are not included. Use the cage nuts provided with the rack.
Locating
Locate the square holes of rack to install the server.
Next to the square hole of the rack, an imprinted mark is placed for 1U. This server is as high as 4U (about 176
mm), and install it between the imprinted marks that indicate the height of 4U.
Note To keep balance, install the server as low as you can on the rack.
