Chapter 2 Preparations

4x 3.5-inch Mid-plane Drive Cage N8154-100
The server can be added with a 4x 3.5-inch mid drive cage in its inside. When installing a mid drive cage, the
12x 3.5-inch drive must be fully installed in the front bay.
Installation
Please prepare the following before installing the options.
Parts included in the option kit
The option must be attached under the following conditions.
A 1U heat sink is required to attach this option. Attach the 1U heat sink before attaching the mid-plane drive
cage.
If you would like to attach a TPM, attach the TPM before attaching the mid-plane drive cage.
If you would like to attach a Type-a (mezzanine type AROC) RAID controller, attach the controller before
attaching the mid-plane drive cage.
