VXIpc-486 Model 500 Series
How do I view the BIOS setup parameters to check the configuration of the memory,
floppy drive, hard drive, time/date, and so on?
Follow these steps to view the BIOS setup parameters.
1. Reboot the VXIpc-486.
2. During the memory tests, press the <F2> key.
3. After hitting the <F2> key, you will get a menu listing the screens that you can enter. Select
the
Setup
screen, which shows all the important parameters concerning your system.

How do I disable the automatic memory check when booting the VXIpc-486? Are there
any side effects to disabling the automatic memory check?
Follow these steps to make the change in BIOS.
1. Reboot the VXIpc-486.
2. During the system tests, press the <F2> key.
3. Select Extended BIOS Features from the menu.
4. From this menu select the Quick Boot parameter and set it to Yes.
5. Press <F10> to save the configuration.
6. Press <Esc> until you exit the BIOS
Setup
utility.
The only side effect of disabling the automatic memory check is that you cannot boot off a
floppy disk. One advantage is that you can leave a floppy disk in the floppy drive when
rebooting the VXIpc-486.
