Getting Started with the NI EVS-1464RT
Configuring the NI EVS-1464RT with Vision Builder AI
Complete the steps in the following sections to configure the NI EVS-1464RT in Vision Builder AI.
Configure the IP Address
Complete the following steps to configure an IP address for the NI EVS-1464RT:
1.
Launch Vision Builder AI.
2.
On the Vision Builder AI startup screen, expand the
Execution Target
list, and click
Select
Network Target
.

In the
Select Remote Target
dialog box, select the NI EVS-1464RT with a MAC address that
corresponds to the MAC address on the bottom label of the NI EVS-1464RT you want to configure.

Click
Configure
. The Remote Target Configuration Wizard launches in a new window.
5.
In the
Name
field, enter a name for the device. Device names are limited to 31 characters with no
spaces or special characters, except hyphens. The first and last characters must be alphanumeric.
6.
Click
Next
.
7.
Verify the IP address configuration. The IP address is either a network address, an automatic private
IP address (
169.254.x.x
), or
0.0.0.0
, depending on how the network is configured to issue
network addresses.
