provides instructions for installing and

configuring National Instruments DAQ devices.

Test Conditions

Follow these guidelines to optimize the connections and the environment
during calibration:

•

Keep connections to the NI 54

device short. Long cables and wires

act as antennae, picking up extra noise that can affect measurements.

•

Use twisted-pair shielded copper wire for all cable connections to the
device for any part of cabling that is not BNC to eliminate noise and
thermal offsets.

•

Keep relative humidity below 80%.

•

Maintain a temperature between 15 and 35
