4. Depending on model, there is a drain line for the filter well(cup) that runs through the bottom of the corner.
There is a tubing connection between the tubing running from the filter well(cup) to the tubing running thru
the lower portion of the corner. The upper clamp connection is secured by only the tubing wire clamp. It can
be removed and the upper length of tubing disconnected form the lower, allowing you to set the corner
aside.
5. Locate the drain fitting and connect a garden hose to it.
6. Route the garden hose to an appropriate drain location. Open the drain fitting. The spa will gravity drain, so
you don’t need to be present as it drains.
7. When complete close the drain fitting, remove your garden hose and “tuck” the drain hose back inside the
corner of the spa.
8. Reconnect the filter well drain tubing to the tubing from the bottom of the corner.
9. Carefully angle the top of the corner back under the lip of the spa, so that the right and left spring clips
engage the top frame.
10. Push the bottom of the corner inward until the bottom molded in clamps engage the nylon post on the lower
frame uprights. You should be able to feel and hear the corner “snap” into place. Some horizontal
adjustment may be required to overlay the side panels evenly.
11. Your task is complete.
When Vacuuming Spa Lines:
1) Vacuum at all suctions in the foot well. This could be 2-6 suction depending on the model.
2) Vacuum at the heater input (union and gate valve), usually on the left of the equipment side of the spa.
Make sure to vacuum until you feel no more water coming out, then block the 2 cartridge mounts or block the
Elite or Teleweir opening.
Remove the cartridge(s). Thread plugs into the threaded cartridge mounts in the filter box. For Elite or Teleweir
filter system, remove the trim ring and weir. Cover the filter opening with rigid plastic and use something with
weight to hold it down and vacuum again at the heater input.
This will help draw water out of any lines connected to the spa pack, especially for spas that do not have a circ
pump.
