Steering head assembly

Position the steering head in its seat.
Reposition the fork stems (if removed) as described
previously in this chapter.
Tighten the three screws of the steering head as
described previously.

Check the exact position of the fork
stems.

Steering pin tightening

Screw down, without tightening, the screw ring of the
steering pin.

This operation must be done manually.

Ensure that the steering base is at the end of stroke,
completely steered to the right.
Utilising the special tool, tighten the screw ring (

rotating it 10° (see figure), calculable as

one-third

dis-

tance between the two holes of the steering head
screw ring (
