4.5 Feed Connectors Through Entry Port
Insert each connector one at a time through the
open slot in the base of the Fiber Tap Plus. Be sure
to follow the fiber bend radius as it may cause the
fiber to kink and/or break.
4.6 Feed Fiber Jacketing into Entry Port
Once each connector is inserted, insert the CSM
and fiber jacketing through the entry. While
inserting the fiber jacketing simultaneously slide
the CSM under the CSM clamp.
4.7 Install CSM Clamp to CSM
Adjust the CSM under the CSM clamp so that the
jacket is barely exposed and the 2” of CSM doesn’t
stick too far out of the clamp (see photo to the left).
Once at the correct location tighten the screw of
the CSM clamp to secure into place. Make sure the
fiber goes over top of the CSM and is not pinched
under the CSM clamp.
4.8 Fiber Management
Insert the included fiber management clip into the
slot on the middle of the base in the orientation
shown. Once inserted place a supplied zip-tie in the
opening and secure the fiber buffer tubes together.
DO NOT tighten the zip tie to maximum, this WILL
cause damage to the fiber. Leave at least a 1”
diameter in the zip tie then cut the remaining tail.
