BIOS SETUP

IDE Data Port Post Write

PCI speed is faster than the speed of a physical hard disk or CD-

ROM. With post write, a buffer is used to store the PCI data first before
forwarding the data to the hard disk. The settings are Enabled or Disabled.

IDE HDD Block Mode

This item allows you to increase IDE HDD performance, which is

dependent on HDD block size. The settings are Enabled or Disabled.

Onboard FDD Controller

This should be enabled if your system has a floppy disk drive

(FDD) installed on the system board and you wish to use it. Even when so
equipped, if you add a higher performance controller, you will need to
disable this feature. The settings are Enabled or Disabled.

Onboard Serial Port 1/Port 2

This item allows you to determine access onboard serial port 1/port

2 controller with I/O address. The settings are 3F8/IRQ4, 2E8/IRQ3, 3E8/
IRQ4, 2F8/IRQ3, Disabled, or Auto.

UART 2 Mode

This item allows you to determine which Infra Red (IR) function of

onboard I/O chip. The settings are Standard, ASKIR, or HPSIR.

Onboard Parallel Port

This item allows you to determine access onboard parallel port

controller with I/O address. The settings are 378H/IRQ7, 278H/IRQ5, 3BCH/
IRQ7, or Disabled.
