9 FIRST USE OF THE INSTRUMENT
After the analyzer has been inspected and is ready for start up it can be switched on and personalized settings can be
entered. These settings can be changed at any time.
9.1 Analyzer ready for operation

Unpack the analyzer, read the complete manual
·
The analyzer was shipped completely assembled, in working condition and ready for operation. It is recommend-
ed that the analyzer is thoroughly inspected for completeness and damages.

Recommendation: charge the batteries for 8 hours prior to use.

9.2 Analyzer settings
The “Settings” menu allows configuring some instrument specific paramteres.
In the main menu “EXTRAS“ = “F3 key” - scroll down to “Settings“ then press the “OK“ key, By selecting a line the param-
eter value can be changed using the arrow keys left and right.
• LCD brightness
• LED condensate separator
• Language
• Helping hints
• Keyboard beep on/off – setting

LCD brightness
5 – 100 % Display-brightness, depending on temperature and also
on the personal judgement of the user, at 20°C a value of
ca. 50% is normal
Language option Select device languages
Country option Enables some country specific parameters like fuel types,
calculated values etc.
Site adminstration ON / OFF
The sites administration can be switched off. Therefore
only one site is active.
Each measurement will be stored on site 1!
Attention!
All measurementa will be deleated by switching the site
administration ON/OFF!
LED condensate separa-
tor 0 … 150 Change the brightness of the condensate separator LED
Helping hints ON / OFF Helpful hints activated or deactivated (explanation be-
low)
Switch-ON protection ON / OFF If activated and if ON key is pressed (possibly inadvert-
ently), then the message „3 seconds OK key press “ dis-
plays
Keyboard beeper ON / OFF Keyboard beeper activated or deactivated
