FOR SAFE OPERATION
A. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY:
Readandadhereto
theseinstructions.Donotallowanyonewhohasnotreadthe
instructionstoassemble,light,adjustoroperatetheheater.

KEEPTHEHEATEROUTOFTHEREACHOFCHILDREN

Useonlyinaccordancewithlocalcodesor,intheabsenceof
localcodes,withthestandardfortheStorageandhandlingof
LiquefiedPetroleumGasesANSI/NFPA58andCSAB149.1,
NaturalGasandPropaneInstallationCode.
C. PROPANE IS VERY FLAMMABLE:
Intheeventofaleak,
propanewillaccumulateandthepossibilityofafireis
present.Propanegasisscentedanditsstrongodorisreadily
detectable.Neverstrikeamatchorbringanyflameorcreate
anelectricsparkinanenclosurewhenyousmellpropanegas.
Ventilatetheareathoroughly,movetheheateroutside,find
andcorrectthesourceoftheleakbeforeattemptingtolight
anyappliance.Ifyouareunsureoftheseinstructionsevacuate
immediatelyandcallforhelp.
D. GAS LEAKAGE:
Iftheleakcannotbecorrecteddonot
tamperwiththeheater,followtheshutdowninstructionsand
returntheheatertothedealeroraddressgivenonlastpage.
WARNING
DONOTUSETHISHEATERONBULKTANKSOFGREATER
CAPACITYTHAN100POUNDSLPG(50POUNDSWATER
CAPACITY).
E. LEAK DETECTION:
Beforeeachuseoftheheatercheckall
fittingsandconnectionswithasoapsolutiontobesurethere
arenoleaks.NEVER,NEVERUSEANYFLAMEFORLEAKTEST.
F. CONNECTING HEATER TO PROPANE CYLINDER:
Always
connecttheheatertothebulkcylinderintheoutdoorsorina
wellventilatedarea.NEVERconnectthisheatertoacylinder
nearanopenflame.
G. USE OF HEATER:
Alwaysoperatetheheaterwith
thepropanecylinderinanuprightpositiononalevel
noncombustiblesurface.NEVERplacethecylinderonitsside
whenoperatingtheheater.
H. ATTEND HEATER:
Donotleaveheaterunattendedwhileitis
inoperation.
I. ALWAYS LIGHT HEATER WITH MATCH: NEVER
attemptto
lighttheheaterwithasparklighter.
J. DO NOT TAMPER:
Shouldtheheaternotperformproperly,
suchaslittleornoheatwhenoperatinginthe“Hi”position,
orforanyotherreason,DONOTATTEMPTTOREPAIROR
TAMPERwiththeheater.Anytamperingcouldmakethe
useoftheheaterunsafeanddangerous.Returntheheater
tothedealerortheaddressgivenonlastpageforrepairor
replacement.
K. FOR STORAGE:
TheheaterHi-Med-Lo-Offregulatingvalve
shouldalwaysbeturnedto“off”whentheheaterisnotin
use.Allowatleast15minutesforcoolingbeforehandlingand
storing.Detachpropanecylinderfromheaterbeforestoring.
DONOTstorepropanecylindersindoorsornearopenflame
orheat.
L. DO NOT TRANSPORT OR MOVE APPLIANCE WHILE
IN OPERATION. FOLLOW SHUTDOWN AND STORAGE
INSTRUCTIONS TO TRANSPORT OR MOVE THIS
APPLIANCE.
VENTILATION
A. WARNING: This heater is an unvented appliance and
MUST be used ONLY in a well ventilated area. NEVER
attempttooperatetheheaterinsideanyvehicle,camperor
enclosure.
B.
OUTDOOR USE ONLY.
Anycombustionprocessrequiresand
consumesoxygen,andwillproducecarbonmonoxide.
THIS
HEATER MUST BE USED WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION.
Donotuseinsideahouse,camper,tentoranytypeof
unventedoratightlyenclosedarea.
C. WARNING:
Provideampleventilation.Thisheaterconsumes
air(oxygen).Donotusethisheaterinunventilatedstructures
toavoidendangeringyourlife.Provideadditionalventilation
foranyadditionalfuel-burningappliancesandadditional
occupants.

Flowofcombustionandventilationairmustnotbeobstructed.
MINIMUM CLEARANCE FROM
COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS

.Whenoperating,theheatersurfacesareextremelyhot.Keep
sleepingbags,clothing,andallcombustiblematerialsclearof
theheaterbyatleastthedistancesshowninfigure4.
B. WARNING:
Toavoidinjuryorpropertydamageneverallow
clothing,tentsorothercombustiblematerialswithin
48”(1.22m)ofthefaceoftheheater.Thisheatermustbe
locatedatleast32”(0.82m)abovethefloorlevelwheninuse.
Neveroperatetheheaterwhensleeping.
C. WARNING:
Neverdirecttheheatoutputofthisheater
towardanypropanetankwithin20feet(6.0m).
D. WARNING:
THIS HEATER IS AN UNVENTED APPLIANCE
