ASSEMBLY AND HOOK-UP INFORMATION
1.
HeatermodelMH45Tispackagedcomplete.Propane
cylinders(tanks)arenotincludedwithheatermodel.
2.
Removeheaterfromcarton.
3.
UseonlyvaporwithdrawalLPgascylindersconstructed
forusewithpropaneonly(HD-5)andmarkedin
accordancewiththespecificationsforLPgascylindersof
theU.S.DepartmentofTransportation(DOTSPEC.39).
4.
Thisheatermustbeusedonlywithavaporwithdrawal
LPgasbulktankequippedwithastandardPOLvalve.
5. MH45T Triple Burner Model (see Figure 1.)
• Thetankcollarbracketmustbeassembledbefore
theheatercanbeattachedtothepropanetank.
• Removescrewsfrommanifoldcenterplateand
retainforlateruse.
• Alignboltholesintankcollarbracketwithbolt
holesincenterplateonmanifoldsuchthatthe
heaterisfacingoutwardonceattachedtocylinder
collar.
• Attachedwithscrewsremovedabove,tomanifold
centerplate.
• Placeheaterontotankwithtankcollarbracket
overtankcollar.Mountingboltknobshouldbe
positionedtotheoutsideoftankcollar.
• Firmlysecuretotankbyhand-tighteningmounting
boltknob.Donotovertighten.
• Makesureheaterregulatorisinthe“OFF”position.
• Insertregulator’sconnectorintotank’svalveand
turnleft(counterclock-wise)withhandasmuchas
possible.Donotovertighten.

Operateonlyonastable,levelsurface.
7.
Openpropanetankvalveslowly.
8.
Checkallfittingsforleaks.Applya50/50mixtureof
liquidsoapandwatertoalljoints.Bubblesforming
indicatealeakingconnection.Correctallleaksbefore
proceeding.
WARNING
Nevertouchheaterwhileinoperationtoavoidinjury.
Moveheaterbygraspingthepropanecylindercarefully.
9.
Theheatershouldbeinspectedbeforeeachuseandat
leastannuallybyaqualifiedserviceperson.
10.
Thehoseassemblyshallbevisuallyinspectedpriorto
useofheater.Ifitisevidentthereisexcessiveabrasion
orwear,orthehoseiscut,itmustbereplacedpriorto
theheaterbeingputintooperation.Replacementhose
assemblyshallbeMr.Heaterhoseassemblyaslistedin
thepartslist.
11.
Minimuminletgaspressureis20psi(138kPa).
12.
Maximuminletgaspressureis120psi(827kPA
(equivalenttoanambienttemperatureof75°F(24°C)).
