Message text Explanation
Satphone busy (Voice call?) The Satphone reports that its radio channel is
busy, it means either that it is not yet fully initial-
ized or a Voice/Data call is in progress.
Tracking will resume as soon as the Satphone is
available (the software checks its status every 15
seconds)
Iridium timeout, will retry The last message could not be transmitted within
the time allowed by the network, transmission will
be retried within 15 seconds
Unknown Iridium error (0) May appear briefly if the Satphone is not ready to
communicate. If it persists it may indicate a soft-
ware or hardware fault.

Unknown Iridium error (x) The VisionAir X has received an unknown error
code from the Satphone (the error code is report-
ed in place of the „x“, for diagnostic purposes)
Iridium queue full gnd sta-
tion
The message queue is full at the Iridium ground
station. Either the ground tracking software (MT
OPS Center) is not configured correctly or it has
not been run for a long time, so that tracking mes-
sages have accumulated.
Iridium message error (12) This error should be reported to MT for VisionAir
X diagnostic, may also indicate a Satphone hard-
ware/firmware fault.
Iridium error at gnd station Temporary or permanent error at the Iridium
ground gateway
Iridium message error (14) This error should be reported to MT for VisionAir
X diagnostic, may also indicate a Satphone hard-
ware/firmware fault
Iridium: network access
denied
Could indicate a problem with the Satphone and/or
SBD contract with Iridium
Satphone locked by
Iridium(16)
Could indicate a problem with the Satphone and/or
SBD contract with Iridium
Iridium: protocol error (19) This error should be reported to MT for VisionAir
X diagnostic, may also indicate a Satphone hard-
ware/firmware fault
Iridium antenna fault (33) Possible hardware fault with the Satphone or
physical problem with the antenna (either internal
or external if connected)
Iridium radio is disabled (34) Possible hardware problem with the Satphone, or
unusual configuration
