Section 2: Understanding Your PCS Phone 

Charging the Battery 

Your PCS Phone comes with a rechargeable battery. You should 
charge the battery as soon as possible so you can begin using your 
phone. 

Keeping track of your battery’s charge is important. If your battery 
level becomes too low, your phone automatically turns off and you 
will lose all the information you were working on. For a quick check 
of your phone’s battery level, glance at the battery charge indicator 
in the upper-right corner of your phone’s display screen. If the 
battery charge is getting low, the battery icon (

) blinks and the 

phone sounds a warning tone. 

Always use a Motorola-approved desktop charger, travel charger, or 
vehicle power adapter to charge your battery.

Using the Travel Charger 

1.

Plug the travel charger into your 
phone with the release tab facing up. 

2.

Plug the other end of the travel 
charger into the appropriate electrical 
outlet. 

3.

When your phone indicates 

Charge Complete

, press the release 

tab and remove the travel charger. 

It takes approximately 3.5 hours to fully recharge a completely 
discharged battery. We recommend that you recharge the battery 
before it becomes completely discharged. 

Warning!

Using the wrong battery charger could cause damage to your phone 
and void the warranty.

Note:

When you charge the battery, the battery power level indicator in the 
upper right corner of the display shows how much of the charging 
process is complete.
