Installing the SIM Card and 
Battery 

Turn the Personal Communicator off 
before inserting or removing the SIM 
card.

1.

Remove the battery cover.

2.

With the gold contacts on the SIM 
card facing down, slide the card 
into the SIM card recess so the 
notched corner of the card lines 
up with the notch in the card 
recess area (see illustration).

3.

Insert the battery, printed arrows first, into the battery compartment. Align the 
contacts on the battery with the contacts in the battery compartment and press 
downward toward the contacts until the battery clicks into place.

4.

Replace the battery cover.

If you insert the SIM card incorrectly, 

Check Card

 is displayed. Remove the SIM 

card and re-insert it. If the card does not work, contact your service provider.
