Level 1 and 2 Service Manual

Disassembly

4.

Lift up the top edge of the battery first, then lift it completely out of the battery 
compartment. See Figure 5.

5.

To replace, align the battery with the battery compartment so the contacts on 
the battery match the battery contacts in the phone.

6.

Insert the side edge of the battery into the battery compartment, with the 
contacts facing downward.

7.

Insert the opposite edge of the battery into the battery compartment.

8.

Lower the battery cover onto the phone, and press down slightly on the cover 
to engage the battery latch.

There is a danger of explosion if the Lithium Ion battery is replaced incorrectly. 
Replace only with the same type of battery or equivalent as recommended by the 
battery manufacturer. Dispose of used batteries according to the manufacturer’s 
instructions.

G

Do not use the extended battery cover when using a standard battery. The battery 
could separate from the contacts in the battery compartment resulting in a loss of 
power.
