ADJUST THE SPRINGS

03. INSTALLATION

Before adjusting the springs, manually place the bar in the upright position (motor extended) so that the

springs are in the lowest tension position, and lock the motor in this position.

Remove the locking female from threaded bar

from each spring, and keep it until the end of

adjusting.

In the threaded rod of each spring,

there are two females:

By hand, pull the threaded bar down to keep

the spring taut but tension free.

Keeping the spring in this stretched position

by hand, tighten the adjusting female until it

touches the plate.

This is the starting position for spring adjusting.

Hold the threaded bar with pliers so that it

does not rotate, and then tighten the adjusting

female until each spring is stretched the distance

mentioned in the table on page 14.

Once the spring(s) are stretched, unlock the motor

and test the spring/bar balance by testing page

15A.

If the bar is not balanced, tighten or

loosen the adjusting female to achieve

the best possible balance.

After each spring is adjusted, tighten

the locking female until it touches the

adjusting female. This will lock the

adjusting position to ensure that the

springs do not misfit.

ADJUSTING EXAMPLE

*In this example a 6M RUBBER AND SPAT BAR is considered, which requires a 40mm tunning

(see tables on page 14), where the M8 rod starts 20mm below the support plate (INITIAL

POSITION).
