Breaking-in the pump
NOTE:
The air compressor is shipped WITHOUT oil. Before starting, the break-in oil provided in an oil
bottle should be poured into the pump through the oil nozzle. The break-in oil should be changed after
eight hours of operation. To reduce maintenance and repair problems, use only premium compressor
oil: 30-weight, non-detergent compressor oil is recommended for general use.
WARNING!
Fill with compressor oil before using. Running with NO OIL or LOW OIL may
damage the motor.
Checking the oil
1.
Check the oil level in the pump through the oil sight window (L). The pump oil level must be between minimum
and maximum fill level, as indicated by the red dot. Do not operate the compressor if the oil is over-filled or
under-filled.
2.
Oil is added by removing the oil plug (M) and, using a funnel to avoid spills, adding oil to the compressor.
