SCL Address
To assign each drive a unique address, select the address character and perform the download. Up to 32
drives can be connected in this manner on a single serial link.
Refer to the SCL Manual for information on sending commands to drives in a multi-axis serial link.
Transmit Delay
If you are using a two wire RS-485 system, the drive(s) and the host both transmit data on the same pair
of wires. You may need to adjust the transmit delay so that the drive gives your host time to disable its
RS-485 driver before responding to a command. Otherwise you may have trouble receiving data from the
drive. This is not a problem for RS-232 or four wire RS-485 applications because those systems have
separate wires for transmitting data in each direction.
Multi-axis System with MisNet Hub
This option is selected to configure the drive with the correct power up mode if a MisNet motion control
hub will be used to create a multi-axis system. Hubs can be programmed as a stand alone multi axis system
or as a router for SCL commands from a host system. Refer to the MisNet Hub Programmer and SCL
Programming manuals for more information.
Refer to the manual for MisNet Hub Programmer and SCL programming manual for more information.
Q Program Mode
In this mode, options can be set for drives used with Q programs. The actual programs must be
composed, tested and downloaded using the Q Programmer software.
Q is MOONs’ programming language for sophisticated programs that are stored in the drive. These
programs can also communicate with a host controller or HMI in real time over RS-232 and RS-485. The
RS-485 option allows for multi-axis, multi-drop applications with drives "daisy chained" on one serial link.
When this option is selected the address of each drive will need to be set.
