13 Controllers
For the controllers’ function the information and instructions of the User Manual RKP-II (chap.
3) are valid. The controllers’ option RKP-D (radial piston pump with digital on-board electronic)
is not released for the explosion proof use.
14 Multiple
pumps
The pumps can be connected with other pump stages in an axial way and therefore
driven together. An additional pump stage can be a Radial Piston Pump (at maximum
with the same size as pump stage 1) or a 3
rd
party pump with adapter flange to SAE-A ,
SAE-B or SAE-C respectively. Multiple pumps that consist of several RKP stages have
to comply with the range of application named in chapter 2.1 (directive 94/9/EG) in each
stage. If the radial piston pump gets connected with a 3
rd
party pump, the unit category
of the 3
rd
party pump has to comply at least with the unit category for the radial piston
pump, named in chapter 2.1. The instructions made in chapter 6 of the User Manual
RKP-II are valid for the design of the drive through torque and the installation of an
adapter flange. The maximum allowed driving power of the radial piston pump can be
seen in Table 1. These may not be exceeded in any case during the operation.
