After making the wire connections, the wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment -grounding con-
ductor on one side of the outlet bo x and ungrounded conductor on the other side of the outlet bo x.
Before you begin installing the fan, S witch power off at Service panel and lock service disconnecting means to prev ent power from
being switched on accidentally. When the service disconnecting means cannot be lock ed, securely fasten a prominent w arning device,
such as a tag, to the service panel.
Be cautious! read all instructions and safet y information before installing y our new fan. Review the accompanying assembly diagrams.
When cutting or drilling into w all or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
Make sure the installation site y ou choose allows the fan blades to rotate without an y obstructions. Allow a minimum clear ance of 7
feet from the floor to the tr ailing edge of the blade.
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury , mount to outlet bo x or supporting system acceptable for fan support.
(Mounting must support at least 35 lbs.)
Do not bend blade holders during installation to motor , balancing or during cleaning. Do not insert foreign object between rotating
blades.
Attach the mounting bracket using only the hardw are supplied with the outlet bo x.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with an y solid state fan speed control device, or v ariable speed control.
If this unit is to be installed o ver a tub or shower, it must be mark ed as appropriate for the application.
NEVER place a switch where it can be reached from a tub or shower .
The combustion airflow needed for safe oper ation of fuel-burning equipment ma y be affected by this unit’s operation. Follow the heat-
ing equipment manufacturer’s guideline safety standards such as those published b y the National Fire Protection Association (NFP A),
and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (A SHRAE) and the local code authorities.

Before you begin installing the fan, S witch power off

means to prevent power from being switched on
accidentally. When the service disconnecting means
cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent w arn-
ing device, such as a tag, to the service panel.
Before installing this fan mak e sure the outlet bo x is
properly installed to the house structure. T o reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury ,
mount to outlet box or supporting system acceptable
for fan support. (Mounting must support at least 35
lbs.)
Use metal outlet box suitable for fan support (must
support 35 lbs). Before attaching fan to outlet bo x,
ensure the outlet box is securley fastened b y at
least two points to a structur al ceiling member ( a
loose box will cause the fan to w abble).
Use only
the screws provided with the outlet box.
Loosen set screws with locking nuts.
Remove keeper from pin and then
pin from yoke for downrod.
