Troubleshooting
ATTENTION!
Shut off the unit prior to all installation work! Restart prior to every test step.
Malfunction
Cause
Elimination
Operation indicator
does not light up
Wiring error
Check wiring of main connection
No main voltage
Check supply circuit fuse
Fuse defective,
indicator lights up
Short circuit in the
individual room control
Shut off, disconnect
actuators (observe or-
der), insert new fuse
If the fuse does not trip any more after this,
check the actuators for damage and the valves
for leaks. If necessary, replace defective parts.
If the fuse trips repeatedly, check the con-
nected thermostats for faulty wiring.
During installation, a thermostat
cannot be assigned although the
Set button on the thermostat has
been pressed shortly several times.
For testing purposes, decre-
ase the distance to the Basis
Wireless and repeat the test.
If necessary, install external Receiver AB EX 4070 (page 20)
The LED of a channel flashes
after longer operation.
Is the allocated thermostat
still in the correct place?
The battery of the thermostat must be replaced.
One room is always overheated,
and another room doesn’t heat up.
Two rooms have been con-
fused during allocation.
Check the allocation of channels and heating zones by means of a radio transmission
test. If necessary, replace the two thermostats or re-program the Basis for these rooms.
Emergency Operation
If a Wireless Thermostat Comfort signal is not received for 3 hours or longer, the
system changes to frost protection mode. In this case, the valve is controlled to an
amount of 25% (3 min ON - 9 min OFF). As soon as the thermostat signal can be
received again, the system changes back to normal operation.
Valve protection
If there is no valve triggering within 24 hours, the output will be activated once
for 6 minutes. This prevents the valves from clogging outside the heating season.
What happens after a power failure?
The program is permanently stored in the basis. A prolonged power failure or a
disconnection of the basis over several months, e.g. in summer operation, will not
delete the allocations.
After a power failure, or after the re-start, the corresponding LED of the allocated
channel displays the operating status of the output. In the first 8 minutes, this is
the release of the first-open function of the actuators.
After releasing the first-open function, the Basis Wireless starts controlling, no
matter whether a signal has been received or not. The device assumes basic values.
After the first received signal, the current values are used for controlling.
