Checking and cleaning solenoid fuel pump filter

Make sure that any fire hazard is not around the work area when handling fuel.
Wipe off spilled fuel thoroughly. It can cause a fire.
1.
Clean around the solenoid fuel pump.
2.
Place a drip pan under the solenoid fuel pump.
3.
Shut off the main fuel valve to stop fuel flow.
4.
Remove the cover at the bottom of the solenoid
fuel pump.
5.
Clean filter, gasket, magnet and cover with gas oil.
6.
Check each component for damage, and replace it
if damaged.
7.
To reassemble the components, follow the disas-
sembly sequence in reverse.
8.
Open the fuel main valve.
9.
Place starter switch in the “ON” position.
10.
Make sure that solenoid pump clicks and fuel
starts to flow.
11.
Check solenoid fuel pump for fuel leakage. If leak-
age is found, reassemble again.
12.
Bleed the fuel system.
